Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This policy explains how fairlightaccounting.com uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit, used to make sites work, remember preferences, or measure how the site is used.
2. Cookies This Site Uses
Essential infrastructure cookies. Our hosting and content-delivery provider may set a small number of strictly operational cookies for security and performance — for example, to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. These are necessary to serve the site safely and are not used to identify or profile you.
Customer-relationship cookies (HubSpot). HubSpot is our customer-relationship-management provider. Its script sets first-party cookies on fairlightaccounting.com — __hstc and hubspotutk (kept for about six months), __hssc (expires within the day), and __hssrc (cleared when you close your browser) — to understand site visits and, when you send our contact form, to connect your submission to a contact record. HubSpot's servers may also set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) on HubSpot's own domains. This information is used to respond to you and to improve the website, not for advertising.
Visit statistics without cookies (Ahrefs Web Analytics). We use Ahrefs Web Analytics for privacy-friendly visit statistics — which pages are read, how people arrive, and device type — viewed in aggregate. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
Booking calendar (Calendly, contact page only). The scheduling calendar on our contact page is provided by Calendly and loads only on that page. Inside the calendar, Calendly may set its own cookies and run its own tools under Calendly's privacy policy, which we do not control.
3. What This Site Does NOT Use
This applies to the code we run on fairlightaccounting.com. The Calendly booking calendar on our contact page is provided by a third party and may load its own analytics, marketing, and payment scripts inside the calendar frame, under Calendly's privacy policy.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No third-party ad networks or remarketing pixels
- No social media trackers
- No sale of any data collected by cookies
If we ever add advertising or marketing tools, this policy will be updated first.
4. Your Choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings — block or delete cookies for this or any site; essential browsing of this site will still work.
- Cookie banner — decline non-essential cookies when the banner appears, or change your choice any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you decline, HubSpot's cookies are not set for your visit.
5. Our Providers' Role
HubSpot, Ahrefs, and Calendly process data under their own privacy commitments. You can read how they handle it at https://legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy, https://ahrefs.com/web-analytics, and https://calendly.com/privacy.
6. Changes
Updates to this policy are posted on this page with a revised date.
